What price Love Island villa?

Have you been watching Love Island? While many of us have been transfixed by the World Cup, contestants on the reality show have been playing out their own little games.

The hit ITV2 programme follows the journey of good-looking young singletons in their bid to find love in a luxury holiday villa.

Although it is proving wildly popular in some quarters, the real stars of the show are the properties the cast are living in on location in Majorca.

Casa Amor, which featured in recent episodes as a secret hideaway, has recently been placed on the market for €2.9m (£2.55m), by agent Knight Frank.

It boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fully-fitted kitchen, pantry, utility room and living room over 450 sq m plus two large sun terraces, pool, garden, garage, private vineyard and olive groves. It also has its own well and solar panels.

Majorca is home to a rising number of luxury villas and apartments. Property transactions increased by 31pc between 2013-17, according to Savills.
