Chinneck Shaw in the saddle for Children in Need

We're all set to go the distance for Children in Need with a sponsored cycle on Friday November 16.

Members of our team will hit a static bike outside our office to ‘virtually’ cycle around all of the rented properties we manage across Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight and the south coast – a staggering total of around 250 miles.

We'll take it in turns in the saddle at our Copnor Bridge headquarters, with passers-by and visitors invited to make a donation.

Director Neil Shaw said: “We were inspired by the One Show’s Rickshaw Challenge for Children in Need to get people cycling for the charity.

“We wanted to do something a little different, so we thought we pay all of our properties a virtual visit on our static bike.

“Progress will be mapped live on our Facebook page. We hope all of our past and present clients, friends, family, staff and members of the community will help us raise lots of money for an incredibly worthy cause.”

We raised £667 for Children in Need last year from a virtual cycle to Big Ben and back. The pictures some of our team in action during the day. They are, from left, Diana Hayes, Jamie McCutcheon, Joe Rocks, Tim Bourne (on the bike) and director Neil Shaw in the Pudsey costume.
